Thank you for your interest in applying with the Rattlesnake Fire Protection District (RFPD). The responsibilities of a Rattlesnake Firefighter extend far beyond simply responding to fire emergencies. As a Firefighter you will be responding on numerous emergency incidents to include medical incidents, traffic accidents, hazardous materials and carbon monoxide incidents, service calls, ect... Not all duties of a firefighter relate to responding to emergency calls however. RFPD Firefighters are also required to participate in training programs offered by the Department to keep their skills up to date, providing the community with fire prevention and safety information, preserving physical fitness, assisting in fire inspections, among many other responsibilities. INSTRUCTIONS TO THE APPLICANT:
All activities will take place at the Rattlesnake Fire Department Training Center, 46220 Coal Creek Drive, Parker, Colorado 80138
A well prepared application is important. Read the entire application before answering any questions. Answer each question using N/A if appropriate. DO NOT LEAVE ANY BLANKS. Please print clearly in black or blue ink, and answer each question fully and accurately. Attach a copy of all current certifications and your drivers license. The RFPD will not consider your application until all of the questions have been answered. Accepted applicants will be contacted with a date and time to appear before our interview board, dress for this portion is business attire. Please allow for 2 hours for the completion of this assessment. If you are selected to move forward you will be contacted with a date and time for a physical agility test (PAT), athletic clothing is suggested for this portion of testing. Allow for 1 hour and 30 minutes for the completion of the PAT test. We wish you the best in this examination process.
