The RFPD Administration Building and Training Center (TC) was completed in July 2009. The TC houses our administration offices, has sleeping quarters for 4 firefighters, a large training room for 55 firefighters, a gym, and of course a great kitchen for our amazing cooks! When the Training Center was being built there was not a definite timeline for when Rattlesnake Fire would transition from all volunteer to a combination department. It turns out that during construction we realized the time was right then and now. Not only was the TC was used by the new paid staff during the day but it allowed for the birth of our Out of District program at night. Hence the slogan we own the night that was adopted by Station 251.

RFPD has some amazing volunteer cooks that provide the firefighters with lunch on our Saturday trainings and food during long fires. To help feed 50 firefighters on training days we decided to build a kitchen with two ovens, two dishwashers, and two refrigerators!

This is our most central station in the district and currently where the A, B, and C shifts are staffed. The shifts rotate on a 48/96 hour schedule and provide 24/7 coverage to the entire district. With 80% plus of our call volume being medical in nature, an ALS Ambulance and Command Truck are kept in the TC bays for the crews on duty to quickly respond in. If another apparatus is needed it is a short jog over to Station 251.
